Three steps

From one device to the next.

01

Choose a file or folder

Open 8ma Quick Transfer on the sending device. Desktop Chrome and Edge can select a whole folder, with no account or cloud upload to finish first.

02

Share one way in

On the same WiFi, the other device can open the site and see a nearby share. You can also send a link, show the QR code, or share the 8-character pickup code.

03

Keep both pages open

The transfer starts when the receiver confirms. Both sides can see speed, time remaining, and each device's status.

Maximum speed

Skip the upload. Start transferring.

The file moves straight from the sending device to the receiving device and uses the available network bandwidth. Speed, time remaining, and progress for each receiver stay visible.

No stored copy: 8ma Quick Transfer does not keep a long-lived downloadable copy. Keep both pages open during transfer; the share ends when the session is over.

Questions

What you may want to know first.

Do I need to install an app?
No. Senders and receivers can open 8ma Quick Transfer directly in a modern browser. A current version of Chrome or Edge is recommended.
Does 8ma Quick Transfer keep a copy of the file?
No. 8ma Quick Transfer does not keep a long-lived downloadable copy. Keep both pages open during transfer; the share ends when the session is over.
How do I send a file to another device?
On the same WiFi, open the site on both devices and enable Nearby Sharing on the sender. The receiving device can then see the file. On different networks, use a link, QR code, or 8-character pickup code.
Can more than one person receive a file?
Yes. One share supports up to three concurrent receivers, and the sending page shows each device's connection and transfer progress.
Why can a connection fail?
Device state, browser version, and network conditions can affect a transfer. In current Chrome and Edge, the transfer keeps running even if the window is minimized or in the background. For the best speed, keep the page visible and use a stable network.
Do I need to start over after an interruption?
Not always. Supported browsers keep the completed portion on the receiving device. Once the sender confirms the original file again, the receiver can continue from a verified checkpoint.

Send the next file directly.
